Mapping Worksheets System Requirements and Naming Conventions
System Requirements for Viewing Images:
Plat images are stored in an image file format called PDF.
As a result, you may need to install Adobe® Acrobat Reader on your computer in order to view these files directly.
To see if you already have acrobat installed, please go
to the troubleshooting page troubleshooting
and read item number 5. You can also click one of the links in the mapping
worksheets area to see if it opens. Please test
the link before installing any software. You may
already have a suitable plug-in installed. If not, please use the link below to download the free acrobat reader
plugin.
Naming Conventions:
- ucover.pdfs - are 1” = 400’ maps with no parcel data
- rcover.pdfs - are 1” = 400’ maps with parcel data
- ne, nw, se, and sw.pdfs - are quarter section maps
- s123456.pdfs - are subdivision maps
- Custom plots that do not fit any of the standard digital plots are named by a portion of the title of the map
- Maps that are scanned from a hard-copy are labeled by the “plat” number in the upper right corner of the map
